Autumn Awakens

image

So the autumn has hit and I’m back to blogging and doing stuff again.

I seem to always thrive at my best in the autumn. This could be because of the magic in the air with the change of weather, the red brown and burning orange colours of leaves (like that of a tiger’s eye) and not to mention the festivals. Summer is a time for spending the warm days outside and getting a tan. Autumn is colder and darker; a time for cosy evenings on the sofa with good book, warm drinks and a change of wardrobe.

It’s also when I reawaken my creativity 😀

HOT!!

Me

For the past few days it’s been so damn hot. It’s been stuffy in work and the shifts have just dragged because nobody wants to eat in a restaurant on a boiling hot day, indoors, and I can’t say I blame them. I’d rather be out there enjoying the great weather. Of course, being used to a fast, busy, active workspace, the lack of people just give us little to do. And when you don’t have much to do and hours of time left to serve, you can get pretty bored lol

The hot weather’s supposed to last until next week or so. I think by then the world would have melted good and proper.

In my new bedroom, which is on the (third) top floor of this house, I’ve had to have two fans constantly on the go just to fight off the stuffiness. Even with the window open, it’s like sleeping in an oven. I’ve taken to working in the living room, as I know I’d just fall asleep if I worked or studied in my bedroom.

I’ve been to the park a couple of times on the bike, but when I have stuff to study; like my spiel for the Ghost Walk Tours in Llandaff that I’m starting on soon ( http://www.cardiffhistory.co.uk/index.php?p=28 ) it just means I can’t get distracted.

What are You doing in this heat?
